Her distinctive sultry vocal blend of R&B, POP, Jazz and Gospel became an instantaneous international sensation when she came forth with her first solo recording in 1992. Born in New York, Sumpter graduated from Longwood Senior High School in Middle Island, New York and studied at Marymount Manhattan College where she majored in communications.

She began her career modeling and appeared in commercials for Hewlett-Packard and Liz Claiborne's Curve fragrances. In 2004, she served as the co-host for the N network series Best Friend's Date. The following year she landed the role of Layla Williamson on One Life to Live.

Jennifer Kate Hudson (born September 12, 1981) is an American recording artist, actress and spokesperson. She rose to fame in 2004 as a finalist on the third season of American Idol, coming in seventh place. She made her film debut in Dreamgirls(2006), which won her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, an NAACP Image Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.




 



Regina Hall (born December 12, 1970) is an American film and television actress known for her lead role of Brenda Meeks in the Scary Moviefilms and as Corretta Lipp in the FOX comedy-drama Ally McBeal.

Hall was born in Washington, D.C., on December 12, 1970, the daughter of a contractor father and a teacher mother, Ruby. She graduated from New York University in 1997 with a Master's degreein Journalism and shortly thereafter began a career in the entertainment industry, starting off with a guest appearance on Sadat X's 1996 album Wild Cowboyson the track, "The Interview".






 



Anika Noni Rose was born in Bloomfield, on September 6 in 1972. She is famous with being an actress as well as a singer.  She  attended Florida A&M University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in theatre, and started studying drama at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, California.


Rose Won Broadway's 2004 Tony Award as Best Actress (Featured Role - Musical) for "Caroline, or Change." Can you guess what is the real height of this actress, she is actually 157 cm tall. She is often called the first black princess.





 



Viola Davis (born August 11, 1965) is an American actress.
Beginning her career on the stage, Davis won a Tony and a Drama Desk Award for her role in August Wilson's King Hedley II(2001). She won a second Drama Desk Award for Intimate Apparel (2004), followed by a second Tony and a third Drama Desk Award for her role in Fences (2010).
Among her most notable films are Traffic (2000), Antwone Fisher (2002), Solaris (2002) and The Help (2011). Her eleven-minute-long performance in the film adaptation of John Patrick Shanley's Doubt (2008) earned several honors, including an Academy Award nomination.




 



Angela Evelyn Bassett (born August 16, 1958) is an American actress. She has become well known for her biographical film roles portraying real-life women in African-American culture, including Tina Turner in What's Love Got to Do with It as well as Betty Shabazz in Malcolm X and Panther, Rosa Parks in The Rosa Parks Story, Katherine Jackson in The Jacksons: An American Dream, and Voletta Wallace in Notorious.
